Artists Christina McBride and Roger Palmer will discuss their approaches and themes represented in their recent books; Christina McBride's Bound and Roger Palmer's Jetty.
Bound is based on a journey McBride made through Patagonia with Mexican writer Roberto Bravo. Working with a range of analogue cameras she has produced a series of images from the various lands they pass through.
Jetty traces a journey Palmer made between sites of two works by Robert Smithson, The Monuments of Passaic and The Spiral Jetty. Beginning on the Passaic River in New Jersey and ending at the Great Salt Lake, Utah, the work maps a route across the USA that echoes the shape of The Spiral Jetty.
