Following the capacity screening of this film in March as part of the Helga Paris retrospective at Street Level, we are pleased to announce another opportunity for audiences to catch it.
The film is a poetic journing back in time, revealing what it felt like to live in the former East Germany, through the eyes of three photographers - Sibylle Bergemann, Helga Paris and Gundula Schulze Eldowy, It provides a fascinating insight into their work and reveals an unusually tender and feminine view of an exceptionally beautiful but grey reality. With an introduction by Dr. Deborah Lewer, Senior Lecturer in History of Art at the University of Glasgow.
Saturday 24th May 6pm. Free but ticketed. CCA - 350 Sauchiehall St, Glasgow G2 3JD
