Book Launch: without title by Gerry Loose

You are invited to celebrate the launch of without title by Gerry Loose at 6pm, Thursday 30th January at Street Level Photoworks, 103 Trongate, Glasgow G1 5HD

without title is a book of birdsong, plants and rain, of poems that are both lyrical and linguistically playful. Gerry died in April and this, his last book (published by Shearsman in November), is a memorial to a poet whose work has always been informed by the interconnectedness of human, plant and animal lives.

Gerry published many full-length collections and pamphlets, but his poems have also appeared on slips of paper, in gardens inscribed on stone, and in collaborative exhibitions with visual artists. He was the recipient of numerous awards and held residencies at the Botanic Gardens of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Montpellier. His poems will be read by Morven Gregor and by fellow poets Peter Manson, Kathrine Sowerby, Gerrie Fellows and Sukhema.
