Street Level Photoworks are pleased to present two exclusive limited edition prints by Doro Zinns on the occasion of her solo exhibition Save It For A Rainy Day.
Doro Zinn is a Berlin based artist and studied Political Sciences and Psychology in Vienna and photography at Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin. Identity, marginalization and belonging are the subjects that concern her. She approaches these subjects engaging closely with the persons she photographs and working together with them on the outcome, conveying a deliberately personal approach.
Set between tower blocks and newly built houses are the Gorbals, which became famous as being one of the highest populated areas in Europe around the beginning of the 20th century as well as being one of the poorest, with many migrants from Italy and Ireland. Save it For A Rainy Day is Zinn’s encounter with the place and people and is an intimate portrait and story of the resilience of people in the Gorbals.
'Maureen' is printed in a limited edition of 7, signed by the artist and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
