Coon's renowned photographs of early punk bands, like the Sex Pistols and The Clash (whom she briefly managed), reflect her own status as intimate and insider. In the 1970s, she became involved in London’s punk movement, writing for Melody Maker and creating artwork for bands like The Clash and The Police. Her iconic punk photos, some of which are featured in this zine, are widely celebrated and capture an important moment in the history of music in the UK.
