Members Exhibition: Daniele Sambo
Members Space, Street Level Facility | 10th January - 14th March 2017.

Members Event: Tuesday 10th January, 6-8pm. All members welcome.

Daniele Sambo's work is the latest to be included in a series of members exhibitions hosted at Street Level. These will provide members with an opportunity to show and speak about works in progress to other members.

Daniele: 'This series of images was inspired by one of the oldest plantations of oak trees in Denmark, dating around 1700. Planted to produce timber for the Royal Danish Fleet was made redundant by the technological shift in the shipbuilding industry from timber to metal. Today the plantation is an enchanting forest and is used for recreational activities and by school children to play creating hides and vessels from their own imagination.

The series is currently in progress and brings together glimpses from the technological race to innovation and nature, echoing environmental science fiction references.'
