The Uncertain States Annual Show 2016
Mile End Art Pavillion, London / Photomonth East London
18-27th November
A triangular collaboration with Uncertain States and Photomonth East London, at Mile End Art Pavilion. The Uncertain States Annual will include up to 50 contemporary image makers: for this, we are including four artists associated with recent key exhibitions in our programme: Alan Knox, Catherine Cameron, Karen Vaughan and Sarah Amy Fishlock. All engage with the medium as a vehicle for ideas through varied processes, with the works on show dealing with issues of memory, loss, and psychological and geographical landscapes.
'In its seventh year, the Annual show is one not to miss. Around fifty artists including Mick Williamson, Susan Andrews, James Russell Cant, Ania Dabrowska, Fiona Yaron-Field, David George, Spencer Rowell, Sonia Lenzi and Richard Ansett represent the diverse and exceptional photography Uncertain States champions. This year UCS collaborates with Street Level Photoworks presenting artists Alan Knox, Catherine Cameron, Karen L Vaughan and Sarah Amy Fishlock. As part of the exhibition, UCS has put together a weekend programme of artists talks, film night, camera and artists book fair.'
