The course covers all formats of film, and explains resizing, colour correction and re-touching. Participants should bring along one developed film to scan. |

| Intermediate Darkroom Weekend 1st / 2nd June : Tutor Vlad Vyshemirsky Saturday 10.30am - 5pm / Sunday 12noon - 5pm. Reduced Rate: £80 / £70 Improve your black and white printing technique. This course covers such topics as f-stop printing, archival procedures, local contrast adjustments (dodging and burning) and split grade printing. You will learn how to achieve a reliable and repeatable result out of your darkroom session. This course is ideal as a follow on from the Black and White beginners course, or for anyone wanting to improve their current darkroom skills and master new techniques. |
CYANOTYPE WeEKEND 18th / 19th May : Tutor Vlad Vyshemirsky Saturday 10.30am - 5pm / Sunday 12noon - 5pm. Reduced Rate: £80 / £70 Learn how to print a perfect cyanotype and take a first step into alternative photographic processes. You will learn how to prepare your own chemicals and coat paper with your own emulsion; how to enlarge your negatives and perform contact printing using ultraviolet light. It is a hands-on workshop, so there will be plenty opportunities for practice, questions and discussions. This workshop will equip you with sufficient knowledge to master many other alternative printing processes too. |
